EastEnders Star Nicholas Ball Dies Penniless, Leaving Nothing to Widow

EastEnders actor Nicholas Ball left no estate to his wife Ayda Kay following his death last year at age 79. High Court documents reveal the gross and net value of his UK estate amounted to £0, and he died without a will.

Ball, known for playing gang lord Terry Bates on the BBC soap, also appeared in Footballers' Wives and numerous other TV shows. He married Kay in 2019 after more than two decades together.

His agent confirmed he died after a short illness in June last year. Kay paid tribute, saying: 'It is with the heaviest and broken of hearts, that I share the loss of my beloved Nicky.'
