The Duke Of Sussex is to appear on The Celebrity Traitors winner Joe Marler’s Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast. Harry will feature on the podcast on Monday to mark one year until the Invictus Games in Birmingham in 2027, which he organises, where he will appear alongside broadcaster and competitor JJ Chalmers.
Trailer Shows Harry Joking About His Long Name
In a trailer for the episode, Harry can be seen joking about his long name, and Marler and co-host Jake Bhardwaj chant “duke, duke, duke” as he arrives on the show. Marler and Bhardwaj will speak to the pair about trauma, coping mechanisms, identity and grief, as well as lighter topics.
The former England rugby player said: “We try to pride ourselves on the ability to go from light to dark to serious to fun, because, for me, it’s just one big conversation.”
Podcast Has Amassed 9.5 Million Streams
Since launching last year, Joe Marler Will See You Now has amassed 9.5 million long form streams and 170 million social media views to date. Previous guests have included his fellow Celebrity Traitors contestant Nick Mohammed, comedian Katherine Ryan and former QI presenter Stephen Fry.
Harry Showed Off Wheelchair Rugby Skills at NEC
It comes after Harry showed off his wheelchair rugby skills at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on Friday, as he launched the one-year countdown to his Invictus Games. He also met TV presenter Alison Hammond at the event, where he told her: “By the way my kids loved you in the Bake Off – absolutely love it. I love it as well.”
Hammond later said: “Your kids and Meghan (Markle, his wife) must be so proud of you. Do they tell you every day?” Harry replied: “They don’t tell me every day that they’re proud of me but yeah, I’m proud of them, they’re proud of me, I love my family.”
Duchess of Sussex Expected to Travel to UK
The Duchess Of Sussex was not at Friday’s launch event but is widely expected to travel to the UK with their children Prince Archie, seven, and five-year-old Princess Lilibet in the coming days. The full episode featuring the Duke Of Sussex and Chalmers will launch on YouTube, Spotify and other podcast platforms at 5pm on Monday July 13.
