Dua Lipa's mother, Anesa, has shared a previously unseen photo from the singer's wedding celebrations to Callum Turner as part of a birthday tribute. The Houdini singer turned 31 on Saturday 22 August, and her mum took to Instagram with a post featuring pictures from throughout Dua's life, including a wedding photo fans had not seen before and numerous childhood images.
New wedding photo revealed
In the wedding photo, Dua swapped the floor-length gown fans had seen earlier for a short, sparkly number, paired with a dramatically long veil and knee-high boots. She posed with her mother, who wore a black romper and cowboy boots, in a garden.
In the caption, Anesa wrote: "Happy birthday Dua!! I am so proud of the person you are and everything you've become. May life returns to you all the love, kindness and happiness you give. May this chapter bring endless reasons to smile and unforgettable moments. You deserve all the love and joy in this world! I love you!!"
Wedding details and celebrations
Dua and Callum married in a low-key London ceremony in late May and held a larger wedding in Sicily in early June. They tied the knot after dating for just over two years, having met at a mutual friend's party in Los Angeles when they struck up a conversation about a book they were both reading.
The singer chose an ivory gown from Chanel for her Italian ceremony, while Callum wore a Louis Vuitton suit. Their big day is estimated to have cost £1.5 million. The couple posed for photographs taken by fashion photographer David Sims, which were later shared on Dua's Instagram. In the images, they gazed into each other's eyes beneath the veil, with hands on each other's cheek and shoulder.
Fan and family reactions
Katy Perry was among those commenting on the wedding photos, writing "sweetie babies" with a red heart emoji, while another fan wrote: "JAW DROPPED. Congratulations beautiful! Happy hearts forever!"
Fans had previously seen photos from the afterparty, where Dua wore a halter-neck gown with fringe details, but Anesa's post was the first to show the mini dress look. Dua's father, Dukagjin, also posted a birthday message alongside a picture of a toddler Dua on his knee at the beach, writing: "Happy birthday Dua. I love you so much and I am so incredibly proud of you. May the hand of God be between you and the harms way May the love you give to all of us be the shield that keeps you safe and happy."
