Dua Lipa gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the opening night of Sunny Hill Festival, where she was photographed alongside headliner Katy Perry. The singer, who co-founded the annual event with her family, shared a carousel of glamorous images on Instagram after the first day in Pristina, Kosovo.
Backstage at Sunny Hill
In the photos, Lipa smiled next to Perry backstage, while other snaps showed her enjoying the atmosphere with friends. Her post celebrated Perry's headline set as well as DJ Seth Troxler, who also performed. "DAY ONE @sunnyhillfestival !!!!!!! @katyperry took us to the moon and @stroxler kept us there see you tonight for round 2!!!" she captioned the upload.
Fans responded with praise for the star-studded lineup and said they were excited for the rest of the weekend.
A growing celebration for Kosovo
Sunny Hill Festival has become one of Southeast Europe's biggest music events since launching in 2018, and holds particular significance for Kosovo. It was founded by Lipa and her family through the Sunny Hill Foundation, aiming to bring world-famous performers to the country while showing Kosovo to international audiences.
Previous editions have featured Calvin Harris, Miley Cyrus, Stormzy, Martin Garrix and Burna Boy. This year's bill includes Katy Perry, and her performance was among her first major festival appearances after releasing new music and completing world tour dates. Lipa, whose parents are from Kosovo, regularly takes part in the festival as a fan, spending time with family and friends rather than staying off stage.
A recent wedding
The "Levitating" singer recently married Callum Turner in London, followed by a lavish celebration in Sicily. The couple exchanged vows at Old Marylebone Town Hall, a venue popular with stars such as Liam Gallagher, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jude Law, Sean Bean and Claudia Winkleman.
For the ceremony, Lipa wore a white blazer over a matching dress, paired with white gloves and a large white hat, while Turner chose a navy suit. A week later, they hosted what has been called the "showbiz wedding of the year" - a three-day event in Palermo, Sicily, reported to have cost £1.5 million. Guests included Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo and fashion designer Donatella Versace.
