Emmerdale's Dr Todd could be leaving the show amid exit news for the ITV soap villain, as Wednesday's episode sees her questioned by police for assaulting Charity Dingle.
Dr Todd Questioned Over Charity Dingle Assault
Dr Todd in Emmerdale is confronted by police over Charity Dingle's sexual assault tonight, ahead of the villain leaving the ITV soap. An exit is certainly teased for the villain, as the next episode airs on ITV1 tonight but is available now on ITVX. The previous episode saw Charity stunned in the fallout to her horrific assault by Todd.
She made the brave decision to report her crime to the police. Undergoing a medical examination and sharing details of what happened to her, a tearful Charity confirmed Todd was behind the crime. The detective told Charity she was safe, and that she believed her. After leaving the police station, Charity knew it was only a matter of time before the police would arrest and question Dr Todd over her allegations.

While it is hardly a shock as an exit is inevitable for someone so irredeemable, it has been reported the exit will happen. ITV and actress Caroline have yet to comment on the departure of Todd, but given the latest twists and turns in her storyline, it is bound to happen. Her character joined the show as Jacob Gallagher's boss last year, before things turned sinister. She began bullying Jacob, to the point he questioned quitting his career altogether.
Jacob bravely reported Todd's bullying to HR though, while he was soon convinced to withdraw the complaint. Todd then tried to set up Jacob as being obsessed with her, faking incidents that apparently left her scared. Todd jumped before she was pushed however, retiring from the hospital. It had been revealed other colleagues had anonymously complained about her.
