Denise Welch has reportedly left the ITV lunchtime programme Loose Women, 26 years after her first guest appearance, to pursue her acting career.
Reported departure after 26 years
The former Coronation Street actress is said to have quit the show to focus on acting after landing roles in multiple productions. Loose Women first aired in 1999, and mother-of-two Denise made her debut the following year, becoming a regular panel member since.

A source told The Sun: "It really is the end of an era. She is taking a massive leap of faith and going to focus solely on her acting which, really, has always been her first great love."
"Now is the time to pursue her dreams, although she will be devastated to wave goodbye to her Loose friends and colleagues. She will be sorely missed."
