Dawn O'Porter reveals cheeky kebab shop tattoo tribute to husband Chris O'Dowd

Dawn O'Porter has revealed the unusual tattoo she got for her husband, actor Chris O'Dowd, after he first told her he loved her in a kebab shop called Munchies. The Celebrity MasterChef star, 46, had the name of the fast food joint inked on her bottom a week before their wedding in 2012.

Speaking on Tuesday night's episode of the BBC cooking show, O'Porter explained that she dedicated her dish to her husband, recalling the moment in the kebab shop that changed her life. 'We sat in there and ate this kebab and drank champagne out of a blue plastic bag,' she told judges John Torode and Grace Dent.

The tattoo, which reads 'Munchies', was O'Porter's wedding present to O'Dowd. She also got a small 'O' – the first letter of his Irish surname – inked on her right hand. The couple share two children and married in a three-day celebration in 2012.

O'Porter, who has reached the final of Celebrity MasterChef, cooked a kebab with marinated chicken, pineapple, bread and garlic sauce for her 'happy food' tribute. Torode praised the dish as 'fantastic', while Dent called it 'fabulous'.

The Scottish presenter joins retired rugby player Alun Wyn Jones and RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner Ginger Johnson in the final, after tenor Alfie Boe was eliminated for his underwhelming 'eggy' Belgian cake.
