Davina McCall, 58, has shared a photo of herself in a pink bikini, declaring she is 'living her best life' amid the UK's third heatwave. The television presenter posted the image on Instagram, wearing a pink bikini and matching cowboy boots, holding an ice cream and smiling broadly.
Health Setbacks and Recovery
McCall's upbeat post comes after a challenging period. In 2024, she underwent surgery to remove a colloid cyst from her brain, a procedure that required part of her skull to be removed. She later revealed she had written 'letters of wishes' to her children—Holly, Tilly, and Chester—in case she did not survive the operation.
In October 2025, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. By April, she announced she had been given the 'all clear' following surgery. Reflecting on her experiences, McCall told the Mirror: 'It was the hardest year and a half of my whole life, the end of 2024 and the whole of 2025 was impossibly difficult, but it ended with a wedding, and that was really beautiful.'
A New Perspective
Speaking at the Leadenhall Live festival, McCall described conversations about death as the 'last big taboo'. She said that before her brain surgery, she told the surgeons they were 'brilliant' and trusted them to do their 'best' for her. She added: 'And then the anaesthetist put in the anaesthetic, and as I was falling asleep, I just said "love, love, love" all the way, and I was okay with not making it, but I'd got my life in order.'
McCall's post was captioned: 'Just a 58-year-old living her best life.' She has previously spoken about being too hard on herself, worrying about being a good mother and balancing work during menopause, but is now giving herself a break and enjoying her new marriage to Michael Douglas.
Record Heatwave
McCall's sunbathing coincided with the UK experiencing its third heatwave in three months. Forecasters reported that 2026 is the first year to record temperatures of 35°C or higher on six separate days, and has broken the record for most days at 34°C or higher, with nine so far this summer.
