Danny Cipriani marries actress wife after crowdfunding wedding

Danny Cipriani and 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord have tied the knot. The former rugby player and AnnaLynne, 39, who rose to fame playing Naomi Clark in the 2000s American TV series, were married in a ceremony in Los Angeles, which the actress described as “perfect”.

‘I married the love of my life’

In a video shared on Instagram, she wrote: “I married the love of my life yesterday, and it’s real. It wasn’t a dream. This love is a grace upon my being. Every moment of this creation of this ceremony, every moment of ritual, every stolen glance, until we could just stand there holding hands, looking in each other’s eyes for a frozen moment that held the current of infinity.”

“The energies swirling around this wedding are all completely perfect. No misstep, no comment, no headline, not a single word and through or around this magical union with my magical beloved is anything less than a perfect divine design, and it only all feels like love to me. Words are beauty in the eye of the beholder, and I see only beauty, only love.”

Crowdfunding backlash

The pair caused quite a stir when they shared their plan to request that guests donate money instead of gifts so they could add it towards the costs of flowers, catering and a wedding cake. Reports online suggest the pair have a combined net worth of $8million from her acting career and his former rugby career and TV appearances, with the pair asking for the likes of $100 for a marriage license, $125 on reception drinks to $600 on a wedding cake.

AnnaLynne said she was sent death threats after their crowdfunding page went viral. The pair were criticised for asking for the money, with the pair being branded “cheapskates”.

“I was told I was despicable - and that I was trying to extort money from my wedding guests. People actually donated ten dollars towards the wedding so they could write on the site that Danny and I were disgusting. There were even death threats,” she said.

“Everyone was asking what they could give us. I was like, I have five blenders. I have everything for my home. I’m getting married at 39. I don’t need another item. I am very blessed. We wrote on the wedding invite that in lieu of gifts we would love to feel our guests’ contributions in the flowers, music and photography on our big day. I didn’t know that it was an open link until a co-star at work asked me: ‘Are you crowdfunding for your wedding?’”

Relationship timeline

The couple started dating in 2024, shortly after the former England fly-half split from his ex-wife Victoria Rose, with the pair getting engaged in December 2025. Danny has previously been in relationships with model Kelly Brook and the late television presenter Caroline Flack. AnnaLynne is also known for starring as Eden Lord in Nip/Tuck before starring in the hit teenage drama from 2008 until 2013. She also appeared in the 2009’s Fired Up, 2012’s Excision and 2013’s Scorned before joining the cast of US soap Days Of Our Lives.

Danny, 38, retired from professional rugby in January 2024 following a colourful career that included winning 16 caps for England as well has two spells at Wasps and stints at Melbourne Rebels, Sale, Gloucester and Bath.
