Danniella Westbrook reveals 'no bone' on one side of face amid reconstruction
Danniella Westbrook: No bone on one side of face

Danniella Westbrook has revealed that she still has six more surgeries to undergo as she continues with her facial reconstruction journey. The 52-year-old former EastEnders star made a shocking confession about her face while discussing the upcoming procedures.

The actress has undergone multiple surgeries to repair damage caused by years of drug addiction. Earlier this year, she had a full face, neck and brow lift, as well as nose and lip construction in Dubai. However, despite having already gone through 'umpteen surgeries', she now requires another six rounds of procedures over the next 18 months, according to reports.

Speaking to Vanessa Feltz on her Channel 5 show, Danniella confessed that her face needs to be 'rebuilt'. She said: 'I think I'm coming up to surgery number six at the moment. Five or six will be this Thursday. So it's quite scary. I've had quite a few surgeries to rebuild and refix my face. I think since I got older, the osteoporosis has set in on my bones.'

Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It usually develops slowly over several years and is often diagnosed only after a fall or sudden impact causes a fracture.

Shocking viewers, Danniella revealed that one side of her face doesn't have 'any bone at all'. She added: 'So they've got to rebuild all my bones. At the moment it's filler, but they've really got to do a metal bone.'

While the mum-of-two recently shared on Instagram that she is 'happier than ever' with her new look after her last intense facial surgery, she explained what work still needs to be done. She told Vanessa: 'The next one they're doing is like a hair lip reversal because my lip's so far up now where it's pulling up that way. So I've got to do that from the inside, cut a flap from the inside of my cheek, flip it round and over and then bring it in from there and put it through because I don't want the scarring on the outside of my face. It's another 18 months of surgery after surgery after surgery. About every two and a half, three months I'm in surgery.'

This year, the talent agent also revealed she would have three sessions with an advanced CO2 fractional laser to improve her skin texture and tackle scarring and fine lines. The Sam Mitchell star has been on a long road to reconstruct her features after her septum collapsed due to years of drug abuse in 1999.

However, not all procedures have been beneficial. Danniella previously admitted she nearly died as a result of a botched operation and severe osteoporosis. In 2018, she said: 'They need to take a piece of bone out of my skull and put a plate into my face but they've got nothing to stick the plate on at the minute because the bone's not strong enough. The bone hadn't closed around the screws so they took me out of the house three times to a dentist, which they're not meant to, because the pain was so bad.'
