Speaking on The Sun's Fabulous vodcast, Menzies said her ex ended the relationship via text when she 'looked like Shrek' after the accident. She suffered six months of heartache and had a breakdown over her appearance. The TV star underwent months of therapy and laser treatment to recover from the emotional trauma.
Menzies has now set her sights on a final egg freezing procedure in the US before turning 40. She has previously documented her fertility assessments on social media, vowing to answer questions about the process. The Scot said she is grateful for the journey, stating that the experience ultimately made her stronger.
