Danni Menzies Plans Final Egg Freeze Before 40 in US

Danni Menzies Announces Final Egg Freezing Round Ahead of 40th Birthday

Scottish television personality and lifestyle influencer Danni Menzies has disclosed her intention to undergo one more cycle of egg preservation before she reaches the age of forty. The revelation came as she celebrated her recent move to the United States, hosting the prestigious Dressed to Kilt charity fashion show during New York's Tartan Week festivities.

A Journey of Personal and Physical Transformation

The former A Place In The Sun presenter, now 37, expressed that she feels in the 'right place' both mentally and physically following her relocation. Menzies first froze her eggs nearly two years ago, successfully preserving ten eggs for future family planning. She has been vocal about this personal journey, aiming to challenge the societal stigma surrounding egg freezing and provide women with more reproductive freedom.

'It's really just about being able to take that pressure off because there is a pressure around doing things. You've got a body clock at the end of the day,' Menzies explained, highlighting how the procedure has allowed her to rebuild her life at a comfortable pace without the constant anxiety of a ticking biological clock.

Overcoming Adversity and Embracing New Beginnings

Menzies' decision comes after a period of significant personal upheaval. In 2022, she was involved in a serious accident when a stolen moped knocked her down, leaving her with permanent facial scarring and post-traumatic stress disorder that required extensive therapy. This traumatic event, coupled with her subsequent recovery, has influenced her current perspective on motherhood.

'Right now, after everything that I've been through with the accident and the comeback from that, moving country, I'm not ready to do that right now and I want to do it at the right time,' she admitted, emphasizing the importance of timing in her family planning decisions.

Life Across the Atlantic: From London to California

The Highland-born celebrity has found renewed happiness and motivation since relocating to Los Angeles, describing the city as 'so chill' compared to the high-pressure environment she experienced in London. She confessed that living in the British capital often felt like navigating 'roadblocks', whereas her move to California has dramatically transformed her outlook on life.

'I feel like a different person. I'm so relaxed and happy and motivated,' Menzies shared, though she noted that visiting 'high energy, fast paced' New York for the Dressed to Kilt event briefly brought back the familiar intensity of London, which she found 'slightly anxiety inducing'.

Glamorous Events and Celebrity Encounters

At the Dressed to Kilt show, held at The New York Academy of Medicine, Menzies appeared alongside football legend John Collins, Scottish boyband Just The Brave, and members of the US Navy Seals. She wore designs by her friend Holly Redmond Harvey, adding a touch of Scottish fashion to the glitzy New York event.

Her transition to American life has also brought unexpected celebrity moments. During her very first Friday night in Los Angeles, Menzies found herself dining across from Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt. 'We made eye contact. I was like, 'Oh my god, Brad Pitt just looked at me.' He was with his partner,' she recalled with amusement, joking that while Pitt 'wasn't a disappointment', he wasn't 'as tall' as she had imagined.

Dating and Personal Life Revival

Beyond her fertility journey and career shift, Menzies has experienced a positive transformation in her personal life. As the host of the dating podcast 'Date. Delete. Repeat', she has noticed a significant improvement in her romantic prospects since moving to the United States.

'I was really struggling with dating in London and just how men approach it. In America they're much more proactive and want to see you a lot more,' she revealed, suggesting that the cultural shift has brought welcome changes to her social and romantic interactions.
