Former 'A Place in the Sun' presenter Danni Menzies has braved the icy waters of a Scottish loch for a Boxing Day swim, wearing only a red bikini and a Santa hat. The 37-year-old shared a video on Instagram showing her stripping off a thick white dressing gown before wading into the freezing water.
In the clip, Menzies can be seen running back to shore before wrapping herself in her gown again and wishing her followers a 'Merry Christmas'. The post drew praise from fans, with one commenting: 'Definitely tougher than me', while another noted: 'I've done this at Taymouth on the slide and confirm it's baltic.'
Menzies left the Channel 4 property show in 2022 to pursue new opportunities. However, her life took a dramatic turn months later when she was involved in a moped accident, leaving her with permanent scars and post-traumatic stress disorder. She later revealed that her partner ended their relationship via text the day after the accident.
Despite the challenges, Menzies has embraced personal growth and continues to share her journey with her 135,000 Instagram followers. She previously spoke about the difficulties of maintaining a relationship while working on the show, telling The Sun in March 2022: 'When you go on a date you’re packing your bag every week doesn’t really happen.'
