Danica Patrick has disclosed details of a private conversation with Donald Trump while travelling on his private plane to a final campaign rally in Michigan. The former NASCAR driver, 42, who recently threw her support behind the Republican candidate, shared a series of Instagram posts giving a behind-the-scenes look at her day with Team Trump.
Patrick described Trump's energy as 'truly unreal' and said she became determined to get involved in the election after backlash for attending her first political event in December. 'Somehow that passion has led me all the way to November 4th... riding on Trump force 1 for the final evening of the campaign... talking about race cars with @realdonaldtrump while we flew to the last rally,' she wrote.
She also posted a timeline of her night on X, including a photo of the two smiling on the plane. 'Rally ended in Michigan at 2:30 a.m. This photo at 3:25 a.m. Landed in west palm on TF1 at 5:45 a.m. Got to sleep at 6:45 a.m. Brekkie at 10:58 a.m.,' she said. 'Energy brought to you by a proud American. Vote like your freedom depends on it, because it does.'
Other pictures showed Patrick curling her hair on the plane and with former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and ex-ESPN reporter Sage Steele. She wore a red pantsuit while meeting Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Jr., and daughter Tiffany backstage. She watched the rally with Steele and Megyn Kelly.
Since endorsing Trump, Patrick has spoken at several campaign events. In Lititz, Pennsylvania, she criticised celebrities supporting Democrats, saying, 'I'm not paid to be here. I don't have a teleprompter. I'm winging this right now... I never went to a Diddy party. I'm doing this because I love this country.' She added that re-electing Trump is 'the most important decision we will see in our life'.
