Courtney Stodden has thanked actor Jason Biggs for his personal apology over past jokes made at their expense, in a move seen as a swipe at Chrissy Teigen.
The 26-year-old reality star shared a message from Biggs on Instagram on Thursday, in which the American Pie star expressed remorse for tweets that may have hurt their feelings. Biggs said the jokes were 'not funny at all' and that he is taking accountability for past decisions while living a 'clean and sober life'.
Stodden wrote in the caption: 'This is what a personal apology looks like,' appearing to reference Teigen's public apology in May for telling Stodden to 'kill yourself' in a Twitter DM. Stodden accepted Teigen's apology but claimed they never received a private message from her.
Stodden, who came out as non-binary, was a target of online abuse after marrying actor Doug Hutchison at age 16 in 2011. They have since spoken out about the trolling they endured, including from Teigen.
In the Instagram post, Stodden added: 'Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone takes real accountability. Jason, I felt this.'
