Alysia Vasey, a wild food expert known for appearing on BBC's Countryfile, has confirmed that her marriage ended at the end of 2025. In a video shared with fans on Tuesday, she said the relationship had been over since before Christmas and that she had been "taken for a ride" and had money taken from her.
Emotional announcement
"This is a hard one. So, I feel like coming clean because there's no point in wearing a wedding ring when your marriage is over, and it has been since before Christmas," she said. Noting that she was a "big believer in love, marriage, everything," Alysia added that the last eight or nine months had been a "struggle," which had left her "embarrassed" by the situation.
As she appeared to hold back tears, Alysia remarked, "It is what it is," before wishing her fans well.
Heartbreaking caption
Alongside the video, Alysia penned a heartbreaking caption. "This is a tough one, my marriage has been over since before Christmas," she began. "I have lived unimaginably hard times, that I have put a brave face on. It's been very tough for me the last 4 years, I've managed to break free, but lost just about everything. I'm still coming to terms with everything and hopefully one day will find the peace and love that I deserve."
Support from fans
Following her post, Alysia was inundated with messages of support. "So sorry that you have gone through, and are going through this. Hold your head up high, you are a wonderful lady, loved by many," wrote one fan. "Stay strong.. you've got this... you're stronger than you feel.. tomorrow is another day," replied a second.
Meanwhile, a third commented: "Don't be embarrassed by it. I am sorry that you are going through this painful episode. You will soon emerge from the dark tunnel that you are in. You are a beautiful strong woman with a bubbly personality and so knowledgeable. I send you love. Onwards and upwards, girly!"
