Coronation Street viewers have been left astonished after discovering the real age of actress Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain on the ITV soap. The 48-year-old actress recently celebrated a milestone birthday, posting on Instagram: 'Hello 50,' which prompted an outpouring of shock from fans who believed she looked much younger.
Myers first appeared on the cobbles in 2021 during the Amy Barlow rape case investigation. Since then, her character has become a central figure, involved in major storylines including solving murders, facing murder accusations herself, and navigating a romance with Carla Connor, played by Alison King.
Fans took to social media to express their disbelief. One commented: 'You don't look a day like 50,' while another added: 'Crikey, you genuinely don't look 50 I thought Carla had bagged herself a younger woman, I thought you were early 40s.' Her co-stars also shared birthday wishes, with Sally Carman-Duttine and Sue Devaney praising her inside and out.
