Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, known for playing David Platt, has marked his first Christmas as a married man with wife Hanni. The couple tied the knot in Manchester earlier this year after Jack proposed on a safari holiday. Co-stars including Alan Halsall, Tina O'Brian and Lucy Fallon attended the wedding.
Jack shared a festive photo on social media showing the pair in Christmas outfits in front of a tree, with Hanni's wedding ring visible in another snap. She captioned the post: 'Our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs Shepherd. We hope you all had a magical one.' Friends and fans flooded the post with messages, calling them a 'beautiful couple' and wishing them a happy Christmas.
Jack, 37, joined Coronation Street in 2000 at age 12 and has been involved in dramatic storylines, including pushing his mother down the stairs and a suicide plot. Currently, his character David is expecting a child with wife Shona, played by Julia Goulding, but the baby has a tumour on her neck requiring risky surgery.
Upcoming episodes will see a crossover with Emmerdale, featuring a multi-vehicle pile-up on a stormy road. Actor Jacob Roberts, who plays Kit Green, described the episode as 'chaotic' with multiple twists unfolding quickly.
