Coronation Street's Junade Khan, who recently debuted as Idris Nazir, has revealed that his two young children are accomplished child actors. The 41-year-old actor, who joined the ITV soap this week, is a proud father to Alara-Star, 7, and Pacino, 5, with his wife Gem.

Junade, who plays the cousin of Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), has quickly made an impression on Weatherfield residents. His character has also struck up a romance with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), despite warnings from Alya. Away from the cobbles, Junade is married to Gem, whom he wed in 2016. Their children have followed in their father's footsteps, landing roles in major productions.

Junade recently said: "My kids are actually on screen more than me! My daughter worked with Angelina Jolie in a film called Anxious People and did a Ridley Scott film, and my little boy has done a Marvel film and Waffle the Wonder Dog. So now there's me in Corrie - it's all good!"
In April, Junade's wife Gem posted on Instagram about Alara-Star's role in The Dog Stars, a blockbuster directed by Ridley Scott. She wrote: "So proud of our @alara_star. THE DOG STARS official trailer is out now @20thcenturystudios. She had THE BEST time in Italy bringing this character to life in her American accent and being directed by the legendary Ridley Scott. We are SO excited to see it on the big screen in August! Very proud Mummy & Daddy."
Earlier this year, Junade announced that five-year-old Pacino had landed a role in a TV show he loves. Junade shared on social media: "So proud of our baby boy! His reaction to booking the role in a TV show that he loves! At just 5yrs old, was absolutely everything - swipe to see his excited little face! He loved the whole audition process, and really wished and prayed hard for this one. His school teacher told us that after his 1st recall he wrote this down as a wish on their class wish board for 2026. And after his final recall we saw him write out his prayer wish at our church. His sister is absolutely delighted for him too."
Junade added: "Hugged him so tight and proudly, and couldn't wait to run into school to tell her teacher his news! Busy times ahead but all very exciting. He had his fitting this week and it's so clear he's going to have the most amazing time."
