Coronation Street spoilers for next week deliver a major development in the Gary Windass and Sarah Platt storyline, leaving Maria Connor heartbroken.
Recently, cobbles villain Theo Silverton was discovered murdered, sparking a massive whodunnit. The suspects include Theo's estranged husband Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Gary, Summer Spellman, George's partner Christina Boyd, and Theo's ex-wife Danielle Silverton.
In recent episodes, Summer was arrested and imprisoned despite maintaining her innocence. Meanwhile, former couple Gary and Sarah have sparked viewer suspicion due to their questionable conduct as they try to conceal a secret.
Just last week, Gary admitted that whatever they are hiding has taken its toll, telling Sarah he 'doesn't know how much more he can take' and 'can't do this anymore'.
Next Week's Shocking Update
Now, spoilers for next week provide an update as Gary's wife Maria Connor is left devastated. In forthcoming scenes, a suspicious Maria catches Gary and Sarah sharing an embrace, after which Gary insists they must delete all their messages, reports the Daily Star.
Later, a distraught Maria confides in Fiz and Izzy, believing Gary is having an affair with Sarah. The question remains: can she prove their supposed infidelity?
The following day, Todd informs Sarah that Maria suspects her of having an affair with Gary. Will Sarah reveal to Todd what the pair are hiding? Elsewhere, a visibly troubled Maria tells Gary they need to talk. Hiding his anxiety, Gary proposes they meet for a curry later to discuss things.
Family Holiday Drama
As the week progresses, Gary announces he has arranged a surprise holiday for the entire family. While Izzy, Jake, and Liam are delighted, Maria remains unconvinced. Later, Maria confides in Izzy that she believes Gary organised the holiday to ease his guilty conscience over the alleged affair.
Meanwhile, Sarah's partner Kit Green begins to take significant steps forward in their relationship. Kit confides in Sarah's daughter Bethany that he is considering proposing to Sarah. Later, when Harry tells Kit he enjoys having him around, Kit reassures him that the feeling is mutual. As the week closes, Kit gazes admiringly at the engagement ring he has purchased for Sarah.
