Coronation Street fans have been praising Tony Maudsley after he shared a series of Instagram posts showing him enjoying a karaoke night out with his co-stars. The actor, known for playing George Shuttleworth in the ITV soap, posted clips with Amy Robins, Gareth Pierce and Harriet Bibby, who play Christina Boyd, Todd Grimshaw and Summer Spellman on the show.
Night out with Number 11 family
The four actors are part of the on-screen family residing at No.11 Coronation Street. Tony captioned one post: “We had a Number 11 night out! There may have been alcohol involved!” alongside what appeared to be a chaotic photobooth attempt.
He later shared a video of himself and Amy, who he has been friends with for more than 25 years, duetting on Daydream Believer by The Monkees. Tony captioned it: “Shuffling with The Shuttleworths. #DaydreamBeliever #Corrieoke.”

Corrie’s official Instagram account replied: “What a talented bunch we have,” while co-star Sally Dynevor commented: “Oh you two [love heart eyes emojis].” Other responses included Junade Khan’s “So romantic [heart emoji]” and Natalie Anderson’s “Yesss!! Love this!”
Fans also joined in, with @karen.wild.5 writing: “You both need to do this on a Karaoke night in the Rovers.” @dawnfm99 posted: “Beautiful blending of voices! I adore you two. Lots of love from Canada!”

This time with my able JUNIOR partner...Mr Gareth 'Snake Hips' Pierce! #ToddAndGeorge.” Gareth jokingly responded: “'Now George, this may be sacrilegious but perhaps we could combine karaoke with the service we offer our mourners…?' @tonymaudsley1.”
