Coronation Street viewers are convinced they have uncovered what Kit Green is hiding, and the theory points to a devastating health storyline.
Kit (Jacob Roberts) arrived on the cobbles in 2024 as Bernie Winter's (Jane Hazlegrove) estranged son and quickly became embroiled in major drama. Recently, his girlfriend Sarah (Tina O'Brien) was arrested for the murder of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), whom she killed in April by striking him with a metal pole on scaffolding, causing him to fall to his death.
Panicked, Sarah enlisted ex-flame Gary Windass (Mikey North) to cover up the crime, but the truth emerged and she confessed to Kit, a corrupt police officer. Though he tried to help her evade justice, Sarah was arrested on suspicion of murder. Initially pleading innocence, she was charged by DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) and sent to prison. Behind bars, Sarah ended their relationship, telling Kit she would not let him destroy his career for her, leaving him devastated.
Fans 'Work Out' What He's Hiding
In recent episodes, Kit has acted suspiciously, clearly concealing something. He listened to a voicemail from a woman asking to speak with him before locking his phone. In Wednesday's episode (August 19), his behaviour continued, with the officer becoming emotional after hearing another voicemail. He then headed to a secret poker game to drown his sorrows.
Viewers now believe a health twist is coming. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Do u think Kit is ill.... Something is up for sure.” Another added: “I've been wondering the same thing, He's definitely not himself, so I reckon they're building up to something maybe ill or cancer.” A third asked: “Cancer results?” Echoing the theory, another penned: “I thought the same, knowing Corrie more sad storylines!”
