Fans of Coronation Street are convinced that Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is set to embark on a shocking affair with dodgy car dealer Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer).
ITV soap watchers will be well aware that Kit has endured considerable upheaval recently, after discovering that his girlfriend, Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien), was responsible for the death of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). Kit was visibly aggrieved that Sarah turned to her ex, Gary Windass (Mikey North), for assistance rather than him, and subsequently attempted to uncover evidence to frame Gary in Sarah's place.
Sarah is currently behind bars awaiting trial, and the experience has been anything but straightforward. She notably ended her relationship with Kit to safeguard his career, shortly before facing intimidation from a fellow prisoner, reports the Daily Star.
Kit's Struggle After Split
Kit has struggled to come to terms with the split, resulting in some tension with Sarah's 10-year-old son, Harry (Joshua Leavy). During Wednesday's (August 19) episode, now available to stream on ITVX, Kit was informed by his son, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), that Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) was hosting a poker evening at Speed Daal.
Kit subsequently turned up at the restaurant and convinced a reluctant Idris to allow him to join in, with fellow player Fiona Morley pushing to double the stakes. Corrie regulars will recognise Fiona as a shady car dealer who previously had a romantic history with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan). She was also embroiled in dealings with Carl Webster (Jonathan Bailey) earlier this year.
Poker Night Tension
Idris observed closely as the poker game commenced, while Brody discreetly downed shots behind the bar. The players gradually folded, leaving Fiona and Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike) to face off. Ollie ultimately claimed victory, leaving Fiona fuming, moments before Brody accidentally revealed to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) that Ollie had won using the funds she'd given Idris.
While some fans have been wondering whether Kit might pursue a relationship with Sarah's daughter, Bethany (Lucy Fallon), during her imprisonment, others have put forward an alternative romantic possibility. Having picked up on some tension during the poker evening, numerous soap watchers are certain that Kit may start a clandestine relationship with Fiona.
Fan Predictions
"Kit and Fiona will sleep together at some point, I can just see it," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: "Kit, Ollie, what are you doing?! They're messing with fire playing with Fiona," while a third said: "Defo bad news."
Could Kit begin a secret affair with local villain Fiona, and will it endanger the Platts? Only time will tell. Coronation Street airs weekday nights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
