Coleen Nolan has opened up about the trolling she continues to face despite losing three and a half stone. The 60-year-old Loose Women star, who dropped from a size 20 to a size 14, said she 'can't win' as critics now target her for losing too much weight.
Speaking to Bella Magazine, Nolan explained that while she previously endured abuse about her larger figure, she now faces comments claiming she has lost too much weight. 'I tried to not let the trolls affect me, but it was hard when they were calling me fat,' she said. 'Now, people attack me for the opposite. I just can't win!'
Despite the criticism, Nolan said she takes the weight loss comments as a compliment, adding: 'I almost think thank you because I needed to lose the weight.' She noted that her health kick has left her feeling 'much more confident' and that she has learned to enjoy treats in moderation.
The singer and agony aunt received an outpouring of support from celebrity friends after sharing a photo from Spain on Instagram. Loose Women co-star Katie Piper commented: 'You look so beautiful,' while Love Island's Amy Hart wrote: 'You look amazing!'
Nolan's weight loss journey comes after she reversed her previous stance on weight loss jabs. In October, she announced a partnership with Voy, which offers Mounjaro and Wegovy jabs. She had previously expressed concerns about long-term side effects after her son Shane lost three stone using the jabs.
