Clarkson's Farm Series 6: Cancer, Remission, and FarmFest

Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed that Clarkson's Farm will return for a sixth series on Amazon Prime, revealing he is now in remission from prostate cancer. The former Top Gear star described himself as "the world's luckiest man" after undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of the disease, which he disclosed at the end of series five.

Cancer Diagnosis and Remission

In the series five finale, Clarkson broke the emotional news to his team, including Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland, that he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. He told viewers: "I'm going to be here for a little while. I don't know what's going to happen. What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I'll see you in season six, and if it isn't, I won't. Take care, everyone."

Now, in a new interview, Clarkson has shared that he is in remission. He posted on Instagram: "I am delighted to tell you season 6 of Clarkson's Farm is currently being filmed, it's in production. And that's particularly good news for me because, well if you know you know. And if you don't know, you need to watch season 5."

Production Timeline and Winter Filming

Production for season six began earlier this year, with Clarkson noting that snowfall in January and February prompted a return to filming at Diddly Squat farm. He told The Sun: "We've never had a rest, we wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn't stop. You harvest and you're immediately start drilling for the next year. But this time Kaleb's gone off to Australia, he's filming down there at the moment, I was doing Millionaire Hot Seat and I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven't had one in ages. So we just said 'OK, well let's just actually wrap it'... and then, I just said, 'If it snows we'll start filming again.'"

Given Clarkson's decision to reveal personal details about his cancer diagnosis and care in season five, it is possible that season six will include further coverage of his health experience.

FarmFest Event Draws Crowds but Vendor Complaints

The new series may also document the cast's visit to FarmFest, an event held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire in May, which featured 400 stalls and 12 arenas, and reportedly attracted more than 50,000 visitors. Clarkson was among TV and radio personalities attending the event, which showcased hundreds of animals alongside bands and DJs in the evenings.

However, several vendors at The Great British Farm-Fest revealed they opted to cut their losses and leave early, having failed to recoup their expenses. The financial difficulties faced by some stallholders could become a storyline in the upcoming season.
