Christine McGuinness on living with ex Paddy after BBC link

Christine McGuinness has opened up about her living arrangements with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness, after he was spotted out with another woman. The former couple, who split in 2022 after 11 years of marriage, still live together with their three children: twins Penelope and Leo, and Felicity.

Living Arrangements Revealed

The model, 38, who has been linked to several famous faces since the split, including boxer Nicola Adams, explained that the arrangement has been a 'blessing'. The TV and radio host, 52, is rumoured to be dating BBC publicist Emma Carey, and is thought to mainly stay on the top floor of their Cheshire mansion while his ex resides on the bottom.

Speaking in a new interview shortly before pictures emerged of Paddy and Emma, Christine told the Daily Mail: "Our lives outside are outside for both of us. We have personal lives outside of the house, but we don't [bring dates home]. I would never do that, this is the family home. And we never did have many visitors to the house, even when we were married, because the children would find it unsettling."

Family First

She continued: "Certainly when it comes to dating, anything like that is going to take a very, very long time, like years, years and years. We share the same family home and we share our holidays sometimes. We're more than happy to do family holidays together with my mum, with mummy and daddy there. And we will do. I'm really looking forward to it, to be honest."

In a previous chat with the outlet, the mum-of-three explained that they have both remained transparent about their love lives to ensure the other isn't blindsided by headlines. "We spoke about this after we separated – what are we comfortable with, how much did we want to share – because neither of us wants to wake up and find the other on the front page of a newspaper," she added. "But it's been three years now, I don't need to know what he's doing and he doesn't need to know about me. It just stays outside the home."

New Romance Rumours

The exes tied the knot in June 2011, four years after they were initially introduced by a mutual friend at an event. Two years later, they welcomed twins Penelope and Leo before adding Felicity in 2016. In 2022, they announced their formal separation, stating they were putting their children first.

Christine's latest comments came just before Paddy was spotted out with Emma, a publicist for BBC Radio 2, for the first time while out in London. According to the Sun, an insider claimed that they are "incredibly comfortable together", insisting that the presenter is "deliriously happy" in his new romance. "Fans will be thrilled to see him so happy after the anguish of his marriage split with Christine," they added. "It's easy to see why he's so smitten with Emma by his side. Paddy looked like the cat that got the cream."
