Christie Brinkley has revealed that her daughter Sailor created a dating profile for her without her knowledge, in an experiment to compare their matches. The 71-year-old supermodel discussed the incident on Kristin Davis's podcast 'Are You A Charlotte?' on August 4.
According to Brinkley, Sailor set up a profile for her mother to see what kind of men would respond. 'The same guys that said yes to me, are saying yes to you,' Sailor reportedly told her. Brinkley added that the experiment confirmed her decision to avoid dating apps.
Brinkley, who has been married four times, reflected on her past relationships. Her first marriage to Francois Allaux ended in 1981. She then married Billy Joel in 1985, separating in 1994. Subsequent marriages to Richard Taubman and Peter Cook also ended in divorce, with Cook's affair with a younger woman being a particularly painful chapter.
Despite her experiences, Brinkley said she still believes in soulmates and is waiting for 'her miracle guy'. The podcast host Kristin Davis expressed both fear and awe at the modern dating landscape, noting the 'extreme dichotomy' between how men and women approach dating.
