Chloe Madeley has confirmed she found the mystery man she met on a night out, after issuing a humorous plea on social media to help locate him. The 39-year-old personal trainer, daughter of TV presenters Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, took to her Instagram story over the weekend after watching Jay Z perform in London.
In her initial post, she explained that a man had saved his number in her phone but she could not remember his name. She wrote: “A fit guy put his number in my phone last night and I can’t remember his name. If you’re the guy, just a heads up you’re gonna need to DM me. Thanks. Sorry. I’m not like desperate or anything but you’re fit and I like nights out in Hackney so here we are…[sic].”
Mystery man located
A few hours later, Madeley provided an update, confirming the man had come forward. In a follow-up post, she said: “People are very invested, yes, I found him.”
Madeley shares daughter Bodhi with her ex-husband, former rugby player James Haskell, whom she married in 2018. The couple announced their divorce in 2023, after nearly a decade of dating. Since the split, she has kept her dating life mostly private, while Haskell appeared on the E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating earlier this year.
Co-parenting after divorce
Despite their separation, the former couple have maintained a close relationship for the sake of their daughter, and recently went on holiday together. Madeley previously described the final year of their marriage as “awful”, telling the Sun: “When you tell people that you are divorcing, everyone sees it as such a negative thing. They say: ‘This is going to be so hard for you.’ And, yes, it is, but the hardest bit was when we were married. The last year of the marriage was awful. It was so dark, painful, and one of the worst periods of my life. It’s a good thing we ended it.”
She added: “I’m amazed I got through it in the way that I did. I think more people should see it as a positive thing. I’m so proud of myself and so relieved that I actually called it a day. I would be happier to spend the next 10 years single than to stay in the relationship I was in. I have to keep reminding myself of that.”
