Cheryl Tweedy Set for Tell-All Documentary Return

Cheryl Tweedy is reportedly in talks to return to the spotlight with a tell-all documentary that is expected to spark a bidding war among streaming giants.

The former Girls Aloud singer, 43, has kept a low profile in recent years, focusing on raising her and Liam Payne's son Bear. According to The Sun, the film will document her rise to fame on Popstars: The Rivals in 2022, her success with Girls Aloud, and her time as a judge on The X Factor, as well as recapping her love life, which made plenty of headlines.

Cheryl, who is now single and focusing on motherhood, previously had a string of high-profile relationships. She has been married twice, first to footballer Ashley Cole in 2006 and then restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini eight years later.

A story to tell

A source said: "Cheryl is incredibly picky about what she chooses to do these days and spends a lot of time on motherhood, but she feels like she has a story to tell. The doc could create a bidding war between all of the big streamers Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple. She would also have creative control over the project."

Cheryl also dated US dancer Derek Hough and then the late One Direction singer Liam Payne, who is the father of Bear.

Documentary trend

The move follows the growing trend for celebrity documentaries, with Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Molly-Mae Hague, Katie Price, and David and Victoria Beckham all telling their stories in recent films.

Supermodel Kate Moss is also heavily rumoured to be releasing a docuseries in the next few months, which, like Cheryl's, will follow her career and time in the public eye.

The Voice talks

It was previously reported that Cheryl was in talks to appear on The Voice after she was spotted out for dinner with the show's star and friend Will.I.Am.
