The new series of Celebrity Race Across The World will see four celebrity duos swap luxury for backpacks as they race through Central America. The route spans 5,900km, starting on the Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres off Mexico and finishing in Colombia's Península de La Guajira.
The journey takes in the undiscovered Caribbean and Pacific coast of Central America, described as one of the most diverse and visually stunning routes yet. Teams will navigate without phones or modern luxuries, relying on public transport and their wits.
The show airs on BBC One on Thursdays at 8pm and is available on iPlayer. Contestants have shared their winning strategies and essential packed items ahead of the race.
