Celebrity MasterChef returned to the BBC for its second instalment of series 21, with contestants Joe Pasquale, Jason Mohammad, Emily Campbell, Shakira Khan and Jay McGuiness facing the mystery box challenge packed with fruits. After the judges tasted dishes including banana and apple cake, sticky orange chicken and egg fried rice, they surprised the contestants with guest judge Paddy McGuinness.
The TV presenter challenged the celebrities to bake "the most beautiful, the most glorious pie".
Viewers React to Guest Judge
Some viewers were taken aback by Paddy's addition to the culinary show and took to social media with their reactions. One blasted: "Paddy McGuinness being a guest on the show is a new low. He has absolutely nothing to do with food."
Another brutally questioned: "Has BBC put Paddy on here just to ruin it, just like Top Gear and Question of Sport?"
