Hollywood star Catherine Zeta-Jones has sent her fans into meltdown after she unveiled her brand-new thriller, which will be released this autumn. The 56-year-old Swansea-born Oscar winner will be starring in Prime Video's eight-part series Kill Jackie, reports the Mirror.
Plot and Premise
The Mask of Zorro and Dad's Army star plays a glamorous international drug smuggler-turned-art dealer Jackie, who is sent on the run after her illicit past finally catches up with her. Jackie discovers a group of high-trained hitmen, known as The Seven Demons, are on her trail and she must do everything she can to outwit them.
Much like Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Jackie will be taking out of the Demons one by one as she tries to stay one step ahead of the deadly gang.

Zeta-Jones shared a first-look on her Instagram account of the Prime Video and AMC series, leading her followers to share their excitement. One person posted: "AHHHHHH!! IM SCREAMING [sic]" as another wrote: "IM SO EXCITED [sic]." A third commented: "I'm so glad my favourite leading actress ever will soon be back with a smashing new series of her own: looking forward to see Catherine's Jackie Price dominate the small screen [sic]."
A fourth person said: "Ooof @catherinezetajones in a thriller series. SIGN ME UP." Yet another commented: "Cannot wait to watch this!!!"
Source Material and Release Date
Kill Jackie takes its cue from the best-selling novel The Price You Pay by Aidan Truhen, the nom de plume for author Nick Harkaway. The role marks Zeta-Jones' biggest role for a while after having supporting roles in the likes of Prodigal Son and Netflix's Wednesday.
Along with Zeta-Jones, Kill Jackie also stars The Gentlemen's Daniel Ings, Borgen actress Sidse Babett Knudsen, Rambo V actor Óscar Jaenada, Ten Pound Poms actress Hattie Hook, Game of Thrones' Enzo Cilenti, Malice star Christine Adams, This City is Ours star Darci Shaw, and Masters of the Air star Raff Law. Further names include Napoleon's Julian Rhind-Tutt, Karlis Arnolds Avots, Set Sjöstrand, Tadashi Ito, Sebastian Armesto, Julian Barratt, Gavin Spokes, Jonathan Cake, Bamshad Abedi-Amin, Fleabag's Bill Paterson, and Ron Perlman from Hellboy. Kill Jackie will be released on Prime Video on October 2.
