Viewers of the BBC's Celebrity Traitors have noticed an unexpected friendship blossoming between comedian Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns, both of whom are Traitors on the show. The duo, alongside Jonathan Ross, were selected by host Claudia Winkleman to be the villains of the series.
Despite their contrasting backgrounds—Alan, 49, has been a TV staple since the 2000s, while Cat, 25, rose to fame in 2022—the pair have formed a close bond. They have been posting comedic videos on each other's TikTok accounts, often referencing their roles as Traitors.
One clip, captioned 'Being a Traitor is a full time job,' shows them preparing for a day of deception, set to Dolly Parton's '9 to 5'. Another video features them miming to a mash-up of Nicki Minaj and 4 Non Blondes. The posts have amassed over seven million views and a million likes.
Fans have flooded the comments, calling the pairing 'iconic' and suggesting that the producers deserve BAFTAs for putting them together. Some viewers have theorised that Alan and Cat's social media activity hints at a future plot twist where they betray fellow Traitor Jonathan Ross.
Celebrity Traitors airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One. The series continues, with viewers eager to see if the fan theories come true.
