Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have announced the birth of their first child, a baby boy. The TV presenter, 39, expressed her joy on Twitter, saying she was 'beyond delighted' and that the couple 'couldn't be happier' after the birth last week.
The couple, who married in September 2012 after being longtime friends, revealed they were expecting in September. Deeley told Closer magazine they planned to raise their child in Los Angeles, giving them an outdoor lifestyle with plenty of sunshine, unlike their own childhoods.
During her pregnancy, Deeley admitted she had no cravings but noted that her husband was eating lots of ice cream 'out of sympathy'. She also joked about missing Champagne and looked forward to taking a break from high heels.
Kielty, 44, had previously joked about their accents, saying any child might need a 'UN translator' to understand their Northern Irish and Brummie dialects.
