Cat Burns is among the 19 famous faces set to appear in the new series of The Celebrity Traitors on BBC One. The 25-year-old singer joins Claudia Winkleman for the game show, which returns tonight (October 8). Contestants take on roles as Faithfuls and Traitors, competing for a prize pot of up to £100,000, which the winner will donate to a charity of their choice.
Born in London, Burns has been releasing music since she was 16 in 2016. Her breakthrough came in 2022 when her 2020 single "Go" went viral on TikTok, reaching number two on the UK singles chart behind Harry Styles' "As It Was". The track earned the BRIT School graduate three BRIT Award nominations, including Song of the Year. She has since collaborated with Oscar-winning artist Sam Smith and released her debut album "Early Twenties" in 2024. Her second project, "How to Be Human", is due out later this month on 31 October.
Off stage, Burns was reportedly in a relationship with Jodie Rockett from 2021. In 2022, she spoke to Attitude magazine about her partner's influence on her songwriting, saying: "My partner's one of my main muses. I've written many a love song since being with her. She's always, like, 'When are the love songs coming out?!' In good time! Plus, my family, friends, career, and life. People I experience. As long as I'm living, I have things to write about." A track named 'Jodie' appeared on her debut album. However, as of October 2025, her record label has confirmed the couple are no longer together.
The Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm tonight, with two episodes each week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
