The 26-year-old's explosive public statement last month reportedly contained a veiled plea aimed at their father, David Beckham, concerning Harper's future in the spotlight.
Sources say Brooklyn, who was 12 when Harper was born, has always idolised his youngest sibling. He spoke publicly about the anxiety he suffered growing up in the limelight and is reportedly worried that Harper will face even greater scrutiny. A source told The Sun: "As the only Beckham girl, she will likely be exposed to more fame than any of her brothers, and sadly, that will also bring trolling and all sorts of issues."
The insider added that Brooklyn hopes his comments will prompt his parents to reconsider the impact of thrusting Harper into the public eye. "He and Nicola will always care about her, and nothing will break that bond," the source said. Despite the tensions, Brooklyn wished Harper a happy birthday last year, posting a photo with his wife Nicola Peltz and his sister, accompanied by the message: "Happy Birthday Harper we love u x." Nicola has previously described Harper as her "dream little sister".
