Brooklyn Beckham has once again publicly snubbed a sibling's birthday, this time failing to acknowledge brother Romeo's 24th birthday. The eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham has been estranged from his family, having earlier this year issued a lengthy statement online in which he said he had been "silent for years" and accused his family of "trying to endlessly ruin his relationship" with wife Nicola Peltz.
Family Celebrates Romeo's Special Day
The rest of Romeo's family, however, ensured he felt loved on his birthday. Sharing a post from his aunt Louise, the photo showed them sitting side by side as they sunned themselves on a luxury yacht. She wrote: "Happy 24th birthday @romeobeckham love you lots x x."
His mother shared a photo of them both posing at a gig and wrote: "Happy birthday @romeobeckham. We all love you so much!!!" Dad David reshared her post and then a collection of photos of the trio together. Victoria commented: "Romeo, you have the biggest smile and an even bigger heart. You are smart, kind and loved by us all so much. We are so proud of the incredible young man you have become. You treat everyone with such respect and kindness. x Happy Birthday @romeobeckham we love you." Romeo replied simply: "Love you."
Pattern of Snubs Continues
Cruz shared an adorable photo of the pair as children and wrote: "Happy birthday man I love you xx." It is unsurprising that Brooklyn snubbed Romeo's birthday, having done the same for dad David's 51st, Victoria's 52nd and Cruz's 21st earlier this year.
In a new post in August, Brooklyn seemingly doubled down on the feud, sharing pictures of his new tattooed chest, which is remarkably different from how it once was, with multiple nods to his parents gone. Brooklyn had 'mama's boy' tattooed on his chest when he was 18. Now, it has been replaced with what is believed to be a drawing of his wife's bridal bouquet from when they married in 2022.
Brooklyn's Statement and Tattoo Changes
His anchor tribute to his father, with the word Dad underneath and the date 1975, has been seemingly mostly covered up too with a star and other shapes. Underneath it read 'love you Bust', a nickname his father gave him, but that seems to be faded now although still remains.
Speaking earlier this year, Brooklyn slammed his family's "performative social media posts" and "controlled narratives". "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed," he wrote. "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."
