Brooklyn Beckham has sparked fresh speculation about a rift with his mother Victoria after failing to publicly wish her a happy Mother's Day, while his siblings shared heartfelt tributes.
The 27-year-old photographer instead posted a birthday message to his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz on Sunday, writing: 'Happy birthday to the best mother in law x love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.' The post landed on Mother's Day in the UK, drawing attention to his silence towards Victoria.
In contrast, his younger sister Harper, 14, shared a sweet throwback photo on social media, writing: 'Happy Mother's Day to the best mum ever. Thank you for always being there for me, supporting me, and putting up with me even on my worst days.' Victoria, 51, responded: 'I love you Harper.' She also thanked her other sons, Cruz and Romeo, for their posts.
David Beckham also paid tribute to his wife, writing: 'Happy Mother's Day to the most amazing mummy... You are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children.'
The snub comes after Brooklyn publicly addressed the family rift earlier this year, stating: 'I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.' He also accused his family of prioritising 'Brand Beckham' over personal relationships.
Despite the tensions, sources close to David and Victoria have said they will always love their eldest son and hope the door remains open for reconciliation.
