Brooklyn Beckham hits back at 'disgraceful' comment about wife

Brooklyn Beckham furiously hit back at a comment about his wife Nicola Peltz, branding the remark 'disgraceful'. The 27-year-old photographer was left enraged after he posted a cooking tutorial on Instagram, putting his own spin on a classic cottage pie.

In the caption, he wrote: "Im obviously not a professional chef haha x just love cooking and eating xx love all the lovely comments. Also if anyone has noticed I LOVE making easy comfort food xx my favourite [sic]."

Fierce defence of wife

However, he quickly lashed out when someone left a rude comment directed at his wife, 31, and her figure. According to reports, the user in question wrote: "Do you comment on everyone who is concerned about your wife and how sickly she looks? She puts herself out there, feed her."

Brooklyn hit back: "Don't ever talk about my wife. She's absolutely beautiful and you should never comment on a woman's body. It's disgraceful."

Strained family relations

The couple were first linked in 2019, and later tied the knot in a highly-publicised ceremony in April 2022, surrounded by their loved ones. However, following their nuptials, Brooklyn has become estranged from his parents, Victoria and David Beckham.

In a scathing statement in January, he took aim at the pair and alleged that they have 'controlled narratives' about the famous family, calling out their 'performative social media posts' and 'inauthentic relationships'.

"My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped," he said at the time. "The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was 'not blood' and 'not family'.

"My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.

"I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."

Renewal of vows

Brooklyn and Nicola later renewed their vows last August in a secret service in Westchester - although his family were not thought to be in attendance, it was said to be overseen by the bride's dad, Nelson Peltz.

According to reports, this is the date that they will commemorate their anniversary, rather than their 2022 nuptials. An insider told the Sun: "Brooklyn and Nicola's first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they look back on fondly. Nicola ended up in tears. It's not something they want to be reminded of."

While both were silent on the anniversary of their wedding, they both exchanged sweet social media posts to mark the year following their vow renewal.

"Happy anniversary Nicola I can't tell you how much I love you x you are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx," Brooklyn said. "I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx you are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx."

Nicola added: "Happy anniversary, my love. You make life so beautiful. Thank you for being the most amazing husband I could ever dream of."
