Britney Spears Shares Gruesome Knee Injury After Accusing Ex-Husband of Gaslighting

Britney Spears has posted a distressing video on Instagram showing a bandaged knee and bruises on her arms, just hours after accusing her ex-husband Kevin Federline of gaslighting her. The 43-year-old singer, who regularly shares dancing clips, appeared visibly upset and close to tears in the latest footage.

In the video, Spears wears a see-through pink sparkly mini-dress with feather trim, displaying bandages on one knee and both hands, along with bruises on her arms. She strikes various poses for the camera, moving back and forth while playing with her hair. The clip is set to the song 'Sex and Candy' by Unicorns, with the caption: 'If a girl is singing it should be there HE WAS HMMMM !!!!'

Earlier this month, Spears revealed she had fallen down the stairs, stating her leg 'snaps out now and then' and that she was unsure if it was broken. That caption has since been removed. The new video comes after she posted a screenshot of a statement accusing Federline of gaslighting, ahead of the release of his memoir, 'You Thought You Knew', due on 21 October.

In her statement, Spears wrote: 'The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys.' She claimed that one son has only seen her for 45 minutes in the past five years, while the other has had only four visits. She added: 'I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.'

Federline's memoir reportedly details their two-year marriage and includes claims that their sons once found Spears holding a knife, and that she used cocaine while breastfeeding. He also addresses the conservatorship that controlled Spears's life from 2008 to 2021, writing that it is no longer about freedom but survival. The Mirror has contacted Federline's representatives for comment.
