Anthony Loffredo, the French body modification enthusiast known as the 'black alien', has shown his followers what he looked like 15 years ago. In a recent Instagram post, he shared a comparison of his appearance before his extensive transformation and his current look, prompting reactions from his one million followers.
15 Years of Evolution
In the post, Loffredo wrote: "BLACK ALIEN PROJECT – 15 YEARS OF EVOLUTION. For most, going this far in transforming their body is suicide. For me, it's audacity, a vision, and a dream I chose to realise." He added: "15 years of transformation, sacrifices, and conscious choices. I never sought to look like others, but to bring my own vision to life. My body became my canvas, my transformation became my identity."
The upload shows Loffredo pre-transformation, when he had dark hair, a goatee and a chiselled jawline. He also had piercing brown eyes, which he has since tattooed on a number of occasions. In his post, he concluded: "Not everyone will understand my path, and that's not the point. I dared to live my dream... 3, 2, 1, let the hate comments begin!"
Fans React to His Transformation
Loffredo, who is in his late 30s, has spent decades altering his appearance, despite facing criticism from trolls on social media. He has said he loves the transformation he has completed so far and constantly assures fans that he is far from over. Fans were surprised by the comparison, with one commenting: "You look much better now." Another wrote: "Too many haters in the comment section... his life his choice... nobody should be judge his choice if this choice don't hurt others." A third added: "Hmmm it's your life, live it man."
Who Is Anthony Loffredo?
Loffredo did not begin modifying his body until the age of 26, when he started by splitting his tongue. He now considers himself an artist and refers to his ongoing development as 'The Black Alien Project'. His modifications have included amputating two fingers, removing an ear, skull implants, sharpening his teeth, inking his eyes and almost tattooing his entire body in black.
He gained further fame after appearing in a 2021 interview where he explained his modifications "made him feel better about himself". Arthur Bruel made a documentary about Loffredo, titled I Transformed Myself Into An Alien (or The Black Alien Project), which aired on Channel 4 digital in June 2023.
