Ben Shephard has confirmed he is back filming for ITV's Tipping Point while on a summer break from This Morning.
The 51-year-old presenter and co-star Cat Deeley signed off from their regular hosting duties on This Morning in July for a few weeks. During their time off-screen, Cat has been enjoying family time in Canada, while Ben headed to Cornwall with his family at the end of July.
Ben Shephard shares behind-the-scenes clip
On Tuesday afternoon, Ben took to Instagram to re-share a behind-the-scenes clip onto his stories, showing him in front of the Tipping Point machine with two counters in his hand. As the camera panned around, it appeared the introduction to the programme was being filmed. He captioned the short clip: “Another day at the office.”
Guest hosts on This Morning
While it is not yet confirmed when Ben and Cat will return to This Morning, viewers have been seeing a rotation of familiar faces. ITV fans have watched Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, Paddy McGuinness and Josie Gibson, Andi Peters and Rochelle Humes, with Craig Doyle and Angela Scanlon hosting the current week (August 17).
According to the show's Instagram account, viewers will also see Rylan Clark host with Josie, Sian Welby and Joel Dommett, and Christine Lampard with Craig.
Fan favourites emerge
Many viewers have called for Josie Gibson and Paddy McGuinness to become a more permanent hosting duo. One person commented: “Josie and Paddy are the BEST presenters on This Morning. Watched you all week. BRILLIANT!!” Someone else wrote: “You both have been fabulous. This week...be permanent.” A third added: “Watched you both all week!!! You are so funny, Paddy too, hilarious. Can you come back together please????“ While another commented: “We need you & Paddy full time. What a breath of fresh air this week has been.”
