Sir David Beckham marked his knighthood with a lavish afterparty at Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred restaurant in Chelsea, west London. The 50-year-old former England footballer received the honour from King Charles at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, before celebrating with close family and friends into the early hours.
Guests included his wife Victoria, their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, David's parents Ted and Sandra, Victoria's parents Tony and Jackie, and his best friend Dave Gardner. Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana hosted, with Victoria's sister Louise Adams and her children Libby, Finley and Tallulah also in attendance. The group was seen leaving the venue at around 1am after enjoying David's favourite £600 Chateau Margaux red wine and champagne.
The three-course dinner featured fine dining dishes, including scallop garnished with caviar and edible flowers, with beef wellington or sea bass as mains. Dessert was Gordon's take on David's favourite roly-poly and custard. David's nephew Finley shared a video of truffle being shaved over his plate, while Tallulah posted mirror selfies from the restaurant's bathroom on social media.
David shared photos from the night on his Instagram Stories, calling Victoria "My lady" and his sons "my boys". He thanked Gordon in a post, writing: "To this incredible team who made a special night even more special. Thank you to Gordon and Tana for making this possible." A source described the event as "a super-lovely, very chilled sit-down dinner with David's inner circle", with guests making a running gag of calling him "Sir David".
Reflecting on the day, David told The Sun it had been "full of emotion and tears", adding: "To have my parents there today, to have my wife there to celebrate with my children, it makes it a very emotional day." His son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz were absent from both the ceremony and the afterparty, with Brooklyn instead promoting his hot sauce brand at a conference in Atlanta. Victoria later shared a family photo on Instagram that notably did not include Brooklyn.
