Brooklyn Beckham's Grandmothers Plead for Christmas Reunion Amid Family Rift
Beckham Grandmothers' Plea to Brooklyn for Christmas

In a poignant public appeal, both of Brooklyn Beckham's grandmothers have now reached out to the 26-year-old influencer, urging him to end his self-imposed estrangement and return to the UK for Christmas. The emotional pleas come after a year where Brooklyn has been notably absent from key family milestones, including his father David's 50th birthday and his recent investiture.

Grandmothers' Festive Social Media Appeals

On Monday, Brooklyn took to Instagram to share a video of himself wrapping a bottle of his own-brand hot sauce, Cloud23, in Christmas paper. In a comment that tugged at the heartstrings, his paternal grandmother, Sandra Beckham, wrote: 'That for me [confused face] [laughing face]❤️.' This public gesture followed a similar move days earlier by his maternal grandmother, Jackie Adams.

Jackie, the mother of Victoria Beckham, had posted a video on Friday showing the family's festive fireplace display. The clip, shared by Victoria, clearly showed a personalised red stocking for Brooklyn hanging alongside those for his siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, and his cousins. The former Spice Girl captioned the video: 'So many grandchildren!' in what sources describe as a clear message to her eldest son.

A Year of Notable Absences and Family Sadness

Friends of the family reveal that both grandmothers are 'very sad' about the rift that has seen them lose contact with a grandson they were once exceptionally close to. Jackie spent significant time caring for Brooklyn as a baby when David and Victoria's careers kept them travelling. Sources say Brooklyn was always delighted to see both Sandra and Jackie at family gatherings.

'David and Victoria are making peace with not having Brooklyn around, they are sad but they are having to accept it,' a source familiar with the situation explained. 'But it's the grandmothers. They adore Brooklyn... They're not getting any younger and the cold truth of it all is that nobody knows when they will see Brooklyn next.'

The estrangement has seen Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, miss several major family events in 2024:

  • David Beckham's milestone 50th birthday celebration.
  • David's long-awaited investiture ceremony.
  • The London premiere of Victoria's Netflix docuseries in October.
  • The couple's own vow renewal ceremony, which they held without informing either grandmother.

Maintaining a Fragile Connection

Despite the distance, Jackie has tried to maintain a link through social media. In October, she praised one of Brooklyn's cooking tutorials, commenting on a post featuring a beef wellington: 'That looks amazing Brooklyn. Lots of love.'

Meanwhile, Victoria has spoken indirectly about the family tensions. In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she referenced 'changing dynamics' and emphasised the importance of communication within a close family, without naming Brooklyn directly.

As the festive season approaches, the heartfelt public comments from Sandra and Jackie underscore a deep family longing for reconciliation, placing the spotlight firmly on Brooklyn's next move.
