Beckham Family Rift Widens Despite Christmas Reconciliation Hopes
Beckham Family Rift Widens Despite Christmas Reconciliation Hopes

The reported feud between David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son Brooklyn is said to be worsening, despite earlier hopes that the family would reconcile over Christmas. Tensions have been simmering since April 2022, when Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz opted not to wear a Victoria Beckham gown for her wedding, though she denied any 'dress drama'.

Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, have missed several high-profile family events in recent years, including Victoria and David's birthdays, their own vow renewal in August (to which no family members were invited), and David's knighthood ceremony last month. The couple has not been pictured with the rest of the Beckhams since Boxing Day 2024.

Despite the snubs, sources close to David and Victoria claimed they would 'love nothing more' than to see Brooklyn over Christmas and 'start 2026 afresh'. An insider told The Sun: 'His absence has really taken a toll on the special days... It's like the ghost of Brooklyn is hanging over their Christmas and New Year's.' The source added that the message is that 'the door is always open'.

However, other sources suggested that efforts to reconcile solely with Brooklyn, while excluding Nicola, are counterproductive. A separate insider told the Daily Mail: 'Trying to create a gap between Brooklyn and Nicola is only going to drive him further away... Nicola has been damaged and very hurt.' They stressed that a genuine apology and commitment to change are needed, not just social media posts.

Meanwhile, subtle gestures have been made. David shared a throwback photo of himself with all three sons after Inter Miami's title win, and Cruz posted a nostalgic holiday snap with his brothers, captioning it 'Love you guys'. Yet the siblings still do not follow each other on Instagram, with reports suggesting Cruz and Romeo blocked Brooklyn earlier this year.
