Two of David and Victoria Beckham's sons were seen enjoying a casual meal together in London, a sight that comes amidst ongoing speculation about a rift with their eldest brother, Brooklyn.
A Relaxed Sibling Lunch
Romeo Beckham, 23, and his 20-year-old brother Cruz were spotted at the popular Phat Phuc Noodle Bar on The King's Road in Chelsea. The pair were accompanied by Romeo's girlfriend, model Kim Turnball, on November 7. A fellow diner reported that the trio 'queued like everyone else' at the bustling eatery.
The witness described Cruz, who recently had his driving licence revoked for a speeding offence, as looking notably 'relaxed' during the outing. 'He was relaxed, having conversations with his friends,' the customer said, adding that Cruz seemed to be known to the staff at the restaurant.
Knighthood Celebrations and Notable Absences
The low-key lunch took place just three days after a major family event from which Brooklyn was conspicuously absent. Their father, football legend David Beckham, was officially knighted by King Charles III at a Windsor Castle investiture ceremony.
David, 50, received his knighthood for services to sport and charity, an honour announced in the King's Birthday Honours list. He was supported on the proud day by his wife Victoria, their children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, and his parents, Sandra and Ted.
This is now the latest in a string of significant family occasions that Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, have missed. They were also absent from David's 50th birthday party in May and did not attend the red carpet premiere for Victoria's recent Netflix docuseries.
A Lingering Family Divide
Rumours of a family feud, first sparked three years ago by a reported disagreement over a wedding dress, show no signs of abating. Following the knighthood ceremony, the Beckham family celebrated at one of Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred London restaurants, but Brooklyn was once again not present.
Furthermore, Brooklyn has yet to publicly acknowledge his father's award on social media. In a recent interview with Germany's Glamour Magazine, he appeared to address external chatter, stating, 'There will always be people who talk. The important thing is that we're happy together.'
The lunch also seemed to confirm that Romeo's relationship with model Kim Turnball is back on, following reports of a split six months ago.
Speaking after his investiture, David Beckham described the knighthood as his 'proudest moment' and credited his wife, Victoria, with creating his King Charles-inspired morning suit for the occasion.
