The Beano has released a special edition, 'Beanofy Unwrapped', offering a comic review of 2025. The eight-page pull-out features celebrities and politicians reimagined in the comic's signature style, including Taylor Swift's engagement to Travis Kelce, Katy Perry's space trip, and Alan Carr's 'Traitors' triumph.
In a fictional storyline, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Sir Keir Starmer blast into space on a doomed mission, joined by a miniature JD Vance dressed as a Labubu toy. The Bash Street Kids hijack the spacecraft, forcing the group to abandon ship as it heads to Mars, before the kids restore order in Beanotown.
Other highlights include Dennis the Menace accidentally unleashing holograms of the year's biggest moments, a battle of the bands between Oasis, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay, and Jack Black being pelted with popcorn during a mutant chicken racing event inspired by the Minecraft movie. Celebrity cameos also feature Cat Burns from 'The Celebrity Traitors', Perry in a Blue Origin spacesuit, and 'Wicked' stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
Mike Stirling, Beano's director of mischief, said: 'With Beanofy Unwrapped, kids get the final word on 2025. All the bad, sad or boring bits are banished, and 2025’s main characters are “Beanofied” into the funniest versions of themselves.' The special edition is on sale from this week.
