BBC Confirms Celebrity Traitors Start Date and Trailer

The BBC has announced that The Celebrity Traitors will launch on Wednesday 8 October at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer. The first episode will be an extended 70-minute edition, setting the stage for the star-studded cast's debut around the iconic Roundtable.

The series will air two nights a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm. Contestants include Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson and Tom Daley. They will compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for their chosen charities.

Following each episode, the companion podcast Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked will air on BBC Two, hosted by Ed Gamble, with analysis from celebrities and former players. The podcast will also be available on BBC Sounds and iPlayer.

In addition, the BBC confirmed that The Traitors will return for a fourth series in 2026 and a fifth series, with applications now open at bbc.co.uk/takepart. Since its debut in 2022, the show has become a major hit, with series three averaging 10.3 million viewers per episode and winning multiple awards, including a BAFTA for Best Reality & Constructed Factual.
