Barney Walsh, the 26-year-old actor and presenter known for his roles on BBC's Gladiators and ITV's Breaking Dad alongside his father Bradley Walsh, as well as his portrayal of Cameron Mickelthwaite on the medical drama Casualty, is in a relationship with Stephanie Del Valle Diaz, a Puerto Rican musician and model who won the Miss World crown in 2016.
How They Met
Barney has been an ambassador and presenter for the Miss World pageant since October 2017. It was at the 2017 Miss World pageant that he met Stephanie, who was the reigning Miss World at the time. According to a source speaking to The Sun in 2022, the couple started as friends before becoming romantic. The source said: "The couple started out as mates. They're now very loved-up. They get on really well and know they're both young in their careers so give each other space to pursue their dreams. This is set to be a big year for them."
Stephanie Del Valle: A Multi-Talented Beauty Queen
Stephanie, now 26, became Puerto Rico's second Miss World winner after claiming the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico title in 2016. During the 2016 Miss World pageant, she was asked what she would change about the world. She replied: "If I have the opportunity to change something about the world, I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide justice for others, and the importance of helping those in need. Thank you." Beyond pageantry, Stephanie holds degrees in Law and Communication from Pace University in New York City and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
A Private Romance
Barney and Stephanie keep their relationship largely out of the public eye. In 2022, Stephanie posted a rare sunset photograph of the couple on Instagram, seemingly confirming their relationship. They also appeared together on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet in 2019. However, given their preference for privacy, it is not known whether they are still together or have since separated.
