Aubrey Plaza is reportedly expecting her first child with actor Christopher Abbott, more than a year after the death of her husband Jeff Baena. Representatives for the White Lotus star confirmed the pregnancy to US media.
A source told People magazine: 'It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,' adding that the couple 'feel very blessed.' Plaza, 41, is due to give birth in the autumn, according to reports.
Plaza and Abbott first worked together on the 2020 film Black Bear and later appeared in the 2023 off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Abbott is currently on Broadway in Death of a Salesman and is set to appear in Netflix's East of Eden.
The pregnancy news comes after Baena, a screenwriter and director, died by suicide in early 2025. Plaza spoke about her grief in August on Amy Poehler's podcast, describing it as 'a giant ocean of awfulness.'
