Former England striker Andy Carroll has reportedly ended his relationship with Lou Teasdale following a series of public arguments that drew police attention. The 36-year-old is said to have told the 41-year-old hairdresser it was over this week, according to a source close to the couple.
The pair began dating last year, shortly after Carroll's quiet split from his ex-wife Billi Mucklow. Their relationship hit turbulence in June while on holiday in Greece, where Carroll was twice questioned by police over separate disputes with Teasdale—once at a restaurant and again at a boutique hotel. A staff member at the restaurant described the footballer as "very drunk and furious with his partner," using "very bad words" in what was called improper behaviour.
At the time, the couple issued a joint statement downplaying the incidents, insisting they had merely engaged in "a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion." They added that no one was arrested or charged and that the situation had been "blown out of all proportion."
Carroll reportedly vowed to change his behaviour and stayed sober at Glastonbury as a show of commitment. The couple were later seen looking close at the festival, which marked the one-year anniversary of their first meeting. An insider had suggested Carroll was eager to make the occasion special, calling Teasdale "totally teetotal" and noting he adored her.
However, it now appears the reconciliation was short-lived. The pair no longer follow each other on social media, and a source told The Sun: "Andy got sick of Lou’s demands and her influencer lifestyle. She’s always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He’s single now."
